February Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

As a reminder, the American Legion dues expired on December 31st.  I was surprised to see so few renewals in January as there are many more that are expired.  If you have not renewed you dues, please get them in as soon as possible.  Don’t let those years of service that you have accumulated expired.

Events at the post are really picking up. January & February are our busiest months of the year. So, come early to get your favorite seat.

Saturday, January 28th we held our chicken BBQ fund raiser for the big screen TV. Andy Silva and his crew cooked the birds and they did it again…delicious.  Andy, many thanks to you for an excellent job.  We had some folks who donated funds for this event and we all thank them very much. (Steve, Jerry, Harold and a few anonymous donations). They are much appreciated.

I would also like to thank those that helped with this event: Mr. & Mrs. Silva, Trae Kris, Larry, Webb, Max, Jo, Kay, Dee Dee, Trisha, & Richard. So many thanks to you all for helping with this event.  Special thanks to Megan who helped coordinate every thing and keep us motivated. She is great! If I forgot to mention someone, please remind me and I will list them next month. Again thank you all very much.

We have some vacancies on our slate of legion officers.  If you would like to help as an officer of your Post, please contact Paul Geiger (Commander) or Webb Skinner (Vice-Commander). Your service to our Post will be both rewarding and appreciated.

Remember: It is through support that we are to succeed!

God bless our Troops in harms way and keep them in our prayers.

For God and Country

Paul Geiger
